Obviously I have been saving up for the Cintiq, but after reading several really good reviews I decided to buy the Yiynova, and I'm happy I did.
After 15 years of airbrushing the 3 millimeter cursor gap doesn't bother me at all and I really like the slickness of the glass screen. There's no jitter and the pressure sensitivity actually works (I used to have the Wacom Intuos4 and I could never get the pressure sensitivity to work properly). And the Stylus is more comfortable. The only thing I need is to adjust is the colours and brightness of the screen.
But other than that I'm very pleased, and looking forward for my next big heavy detailed illustration

In 2006 I designed a series of 3D smiley characters for an advertising agency.
After publishing the smileys on sevensheaven.nl I saw them hundreds of times in forums, as avatars, in blog posts, etcetera.
In 2009 an exact copy of one of the smileys was used without authorization for a campaign by the Dutch Veronica TV channel. My agent approached them, and after some initial defense by the company's lawyers they paid for a rightful license.
In 2011 an orange-colored variant of the smiley with its tongue sticking out was licensed to the Canadian amusement park Funhaven.

Big thanks to Ricardo Martin for his Karaoke Elvis performance. And letting me use his performance for this video.

It's based off a image a friend showed me on the web. It cracks me up every time I see it.
I'll post the image below.

Wishing You Kramps, Gramps and Fragile Lamps Toasting in a Motel Landscape, from zillustration.com
Happy Holidays, Everyone. I didn't print a card this year, but hope you'll enjoy the e-Card I've made for this year's holiday wishes. All the best to you and yours, and a wonderful 2014!
Characters shown above are the Krampus, Burl Ives' Snowman from Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, and the Prize Lamp from Gene Shepherd's A Christmas Story.
The background is an Alpine forest in snow, typically seen in your local Motel 6 or Holiday Inn.
The characters are drawn in my sketchbook, then imported into Photoshop CS6 where I paint, apply textures and muss about with a Wacom Cintiq.
