drawings

I did these a little while ago, sort of a wierd assignment for Esquire Russia....they just wanted rooms with a large stone in the middle. I had a lot of fun drawing these, sort of curious as to what the story was all about..

Incredibly Good! I'm not sure what kind of story it could be either but someone could certainly write on based soley on your illustrations. Love your work!

Awesome-awesome.

I can't believe you were assigned this without knowledge of what the article discusses – is this normal practise? Curious, is all. I've never done freelance illustration work.

yeah it was pretty bizarre to get an assignment like that. I think mostly because they were under a time crunch and the story was in russian.

Josh, BEAUTIFUL drawings!

Jeope, yeah, it IS very unusual to get an assignment without at least a general idea of the story content. Often, the writer is still working on the story, particularly with newspapers and newsweeklies, but at least I get a headline along with a few lines telling me about the story.

But as you say, the art makes it VERY intriguing & that's a testimonial to Josh's superb art.
