Lighthouse Battles

An old and abandoned lighthouse is now a place for epic battles in the mind of a little boy. Some times the lighthouse takes the role of a monster as you can see here.

The theme - similar to "Summerhouse" - is the way the new generations build their own world over the ruins of the old. That lighthouse was useful once but now is only a desert place... in an adult's perspective of course!

"Summerhouse" was a very relaxed image but for this one I was looking for a more dynamic composition... That's why the scene uses this crazy perspective.
The perspective was created with a little help of 3ds max: I did a (very simple) dummy model of the scenario and choose a camera angle. I used CorelDraw to... well draw and Photoshop for the colors.

The design of the lighthouse came to me in a dream few days ago... If you ask me why is the building over a tripod I just say that your guess is as good as mine... Maybe all the buildings in this world are on tripods, or it was constructed by a long gone squid-like civilization...
