What is TRADE SECRETS?

As a bit of an intro, I’ve been working as an illustrator for just shy of two years, and it’s been a real learning experience. There’s a lot I didn’t know, and a lot I didn’t realize would come in handy. I really love illustration and my fellow illustrators, and so I thought it would be nice to provide a little resource of what I have learned and will figure out in the upcoming future.

TRADE SECRETS is just that; a resource. One part work diary, one part advice column, I’m going to put forward what I know to help others. I often get asked about promotion, so I’ll give my two cents on that, as well as finances. I’ll provide resources of companies I’ve found to help with making certain items. In addition I hope to get more people into the fun either by guest blogging or interviews– I figure that learning together will help us all get a little sharper.
