For their next anniversary issue, The New Yorker is currently hosting a contest inviting illustrators to create their own interpretation of their very famous first cover featuring Eustace Tilley. The prize? Well . . . you get your image posted on their website . . . and that's about it. But when I read about the contest the above image--my personal homage to the late, great Charles Schulz--popped into my head, and practically demanded to see the light of day. They've got a Flickr set going right now featuring all the entrants. Check 'em out here.If you get a second, please stop by my new blog Robot Alphabet.
