SFG: Monsters In The Closet

It's a slushy/snowy Monday in New Jersey. So we get 75 degree days in January and snow in April. Coldest April in a long long time. Anyway, busyness has overtaken me. I'm going to try to get back on my late Nintendo theme now. Sheeeesh! Someone slow down this train so I can go outside and have a snowball fight.

My Monster of the week idea worked
well with this week's challenge.

Monsters in the Closet: Y2K

Had to do some digging in my closet for this one. Back in 1999, I did a bunch of Y2K illos.

monsters in the closet

originally for art jumble, under the prompt: influential "people" who have never lived
well, not a people, but i thought it would be fun to draw good ol HAL 9000.

it was.

as far as monsters go this one is not only really scary but a possible reality.

SFG: Monsters In The Closet

This week's theme: Monsters In The Closet, as suggested by Steph Doyle. What great visual imagery that phrase exudes huh? This should be a fun one!

Be sure to label your illustrations with the appropriate labels as well. I prefer you label your entries with your name or screenname, and the challenge label, SFG: Monsters In The Closet.

By the way, I'm always looking for new and creative ideas for these challenges folks, so keep your ideas and suggestions coming in..

Remember, this is a completely voluntary challenge designed solely to stimulate creativity and promote participation. Please don't hesitate to post your other work as normal.

One last thing, be sure to check out and get involved over at the all new SFG Forum. Based on feedback from a large number of members, who stated that SFG needed a stronger sense of community, The new forum is the perfect outlet to build that community. It'll only work if you get involved though!

The next challenge will begin Thursday, April 19th, 2007.

Challenge yourselves SFG'ers and have a great week!
