Character Designs for Animania

About a year and a half ago I had the great opportunity to design and create original characters for a new all hi-def, all animation network called Animania. The characters, Big and Wide (a take off of their tagline: "Big. Wide. Fun."), were to act as hosts to this all-action block of shows, The Big Wide Action Show. It took awhile but after getting the designs okayed, I then created model sheets for my animators to use:




I'm in the process of writing more about creating the open to The Big Wide Action Show, including backgrounds, animation, and color design, so stay tuned!
