I'm currently in the throes of a winter love affair with my camera, and haven't made an illustration since a sketch on Christmas Day. But here's one from the vault, a submission for an old Illustration Friday theme of "wisdom". It gave me a chance to try out that challenge of creating something using only type – in this case an owl, using only the letters O, W and L. The whole story can be read/viewed here.
And to that end, here's another stab at the idea, part of a gift my girlfriend and I made for her buddy's wedding a couple years ago.
