Rocket Robin Hood

Here's a whack of buttons; my submission for the Manitoba chapter of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada's annual button swap – which went down just before Christmas. This year I used a design I concocted a couple years ago, that of a vectorized head-shot from the classic 1960s Canadian cartoon Rocket Robin Hood. The cartoon itself was hilariously so-bad-it's-good, a trippy futuristic take on the Robin Hood legend. Off the air for what seemed like decades, Teletoon (our Cartoon Network) picked it up as a cheesy entry into its retro-themed late-night programming. I taped an episode and freeze-framed this image, sketched it out and finally made it into a vector file. The whole story, and a good look at the file itself, can be read/viewed here.
