Man, you guys say nice things! Thanks for the encouraging words.
And thanks Octavio for the Spanish help. I am glad I passed. My technique is developing, so I do it different everytime but on this, I scanned my drawing and went back and forth between painter and photoshop. The honey comb and type are illustrator. I use texture photos that I take digitally and also use Mister Retro texture filters. I have also developed ways to take the M.R. filters further than just hitting apply. I play with channels and composite layers and channel mixers and drawing layers like the ropes with the lasso tool and adding texture. I go back and forth and experiment so much I couldn't possibly come out with a formula. I just keep playing until I feel satisfied. How's that for a convoluted response? ;)

You're so eloquent en Español!
Can you describe your technique?
For the illustration, that is.
Wow Jim, you knocked this one outta the ballpark!
Jim Bradshaw means "he who draws hard"
