Thanks guys. I ate corn for a month every day after doing that illustration. Now I only have it in the summer. It's a mixed media piece. I don't do that technique anymore. Acrylic wash, then a layer of opposite color gouache, Lift that up with water and paper towel so it leaves the color in the tooth of the paper, then an oil wash of permanent green and dioxide purple. Let that dry and lift up in light areas with kneaded eraser and come back with more acrylic to brighten and some colored pencil. Sounds tiresome but it actually goes fast. I jut got tired of it and now paint with just acrylics.
