The preposterous Probosceros

I decided to set a little challenge for my recent sketchblog entry. Getting my oversized animal encyclopaedia from the bookshelf, I opened it randomly to two animals with the intention of combining them to create a new creature. Funnily enough I picked a Proboscis monkey and a Rhinoceros, both names referring to their prominent nose. So here's the results of that fun experiment. The Probosceros.

That is an awesome character design, and it totally is ripped, check out the guns on that monkey! It is like something went terribly wrong at the zoo. I really like the rough shading and the hints of skin texture on the arms. Nice one!

What a dynamic drawing! My eye goes right to the snarling teeth, then to the monsterous forearm. Very nice.
