So, Wonder Woman Day is fast approaching. WWD is an art show and sale that benefits Domestic Abuse Shelters and Hotlines. Last year was the first time I'd been a part of it, and it was fun. Apparently, they raised something like $26,000 and had Adam Hughes, Allison Sohn and Aaron Lopresti in attendance, doing sketches and signings.

This piece is my submission for this year. I decided to really step up my game this year and push myself a little. I think it turned out pretty well. This is all drawn in pen and colored with Copic Markers.

SFG: Wonder Woman

So I'm browsing around here at SFG and these fat wonder women start popping up. I was like, hey...what's up with this one? I found out that a guy named Jamar started a blog dedicated to the topic. The subject is fun but I don't mean to poke fun at anyone. I don't have any fat people art and a cartoon guy like me who likes to exagerate the human body had to go for it. She's a lot of woman and I'll bet she can kick Lynda Carter's butt even back in her day. I'm guessing that she is wearing a wonderbra.

super hero, wonder woman

i didnt want to do this one. i fought with it, i probably should have colored it.

four color traditional style,

i was, for two and a half years, a dad.

i helped my ex raise a beautiful girl fron the age of one and a half to four.

and K had at some point bought a wonder woman pajama suit for C...

and the two years that we went to wonder con, and ape, C would wear this "costume" to the convention.

and it was a huge draw, everyone wanted to have a pic taken with her.

funny-ish story about her first con, one of the guys dressed up as a stormtrooper accidently stepped on her foot which caused her to remember, months later , while watching episode 4, how the mean man in white hurt her... it was an issue at the 06 con when she saw the troops on the floor.

anyway...

here is a pic i took of C and ms. monster.

Everyday Wonder Woman

Here's a piece I did a few years back for Greenpeace. I thought it was appropriate for the challenge.

WonderwoMan

I decided to create an original illo for SFG because I've been so absent lately. This time with color. Created with Micron pens, Prismacolor pencils and scanned in PS w/ poster edges. The font is Hotel Coral Essex.
(for you fanboys & girls out there, the jet propulsion comes out the back of her shoulder pads)

Wonder Woman

Just a quick marker sketch I donated to "Wonder Woman Day," a charity fundraiser for a battered woman's shelter held in Oregon.

Wonder Woman

Okay! The new SFG challenge is on--and fortunately, I had this Wonder Woman drawing just sitting around my hard drive, waiting to be shared:

More superhero drawings and stuff on my website.

Wonder Woman in Waiting

This was done for a charity auction a few months ago. But it's all I gots! Hmmm... Not true... I may have a page from some issues I did many moons ago. I'll post that too!

SFG: Wonder Woman

This week's theme: Wonder Woman.

This week's theme suggested by SFG member Ray Lederer.

Keep the ideas and suggestions coming folks! Remember this is a completely voluntary challenge designed solely to stimulate creativity and promote participation. Please don't hesitate to post your other work as normal.

Post your illustrations based on the theme here on SFG within the week.

Still looking for illustrators to contribute SFG Tee Shirt designs for tees to be sold on this site. Half of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to a great charity, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contact me if you're interested, or if you want more information.

Challenge yourselves SFG'ers and have a great week!

The next challenge will begin Thursday, January 25th, 2007.
