Super Alphabet launched! :D

Hi everyone! I've started a new project on Kickstarter. It's my new kids picture book "Super Alphabet". Please stop by and take a look. I would greatly appreciate in advance if you contribute but I totally understand if money is tight. If you could take a few minutes to post the link to other sites and possibly send it to friends who might be interested, that would help greatly and you would have my undying appreciation. Keeping my fingers crossed and working on the text for the interior of the book.

Thanks,

My interactive picture book!

Originally I illustrated this book back in the late 1990s. I found this video during a search the other day. I was very pleased to see what they did with my art but not so happy about not being consulted or paid for this.
Hey Scholastic... at least throw me a few bones would ya'?

An Introduction to Ink & Mess

Hello all!

My name is Ink & Mess, I'm based in London, UK, and specialise in picture
books, 3D projects, old fashioned scraps and ephemera. To my delight I
have been welcomed to join the fold of all you hardened SFGers. That means
I am brand new here, I do hope you'll be friendly.

I've hugely enjoyed looking at all your submissions since I discovered the
blog some months ago, not least because it led me to individual blogs that
I immediately subscribed to the feeds of, and now are a staple on my
Reader. Now I'm really looking forward to being an active SFGer myself,
and hope you'll enjoy looking at my work too.

I'm currently working on a series of picture books called 'Sombre
Songbooks' based on the narrative and lyrics of my favourite murder
ballads and melancholy melodies (you can see them in full on my blog www.marielouiseplum.blogspot.com).

Ok, well I'll sign off now with a link to my website. Click the sick stick
man below to get through the wires to my little pocket of the internet.
Goodbye for now!

Aborted Picture book...

These sketches are from an aborted kids book from about 10 years ago. I was bummed and sorry it didn't happen. Oh well.

Young Adult Book Cover

I finished this painting last week for a publisher in New York.

Great Show and Tell Disaster!

This is the opening double page spread of a picture book (The Great Show and Tell Disaster) that I illustrated a few years ago. (Still available on Amazon.com)
The writer is the great Mike Reiss who has written many terrific books and has been a writer and producer on The Simpsons.
