An illustration about life according to my vision. An explanatory enumeration:
1: The staircase stands for the many stages of life we go through, from a greenhorn to the last toilsome steps.
2: The helical shape of the stairs is an allegory for our DNA, the blueprint of life.
3: The stairway has no railing, because definitely not everyone reaches the last step without prematurely falling off the stairs.
4: The figure is situated near the side-edge of the staircase, because sometimes you live life on the edge.
5: The staircase stops to reflect the inevitable end. No matter how far you get on the stairway, one day you will have reached the end.
6: Achieving and keeping a steady balance and progress in life is not easy, hence the tightrope-unicycle.
7: Gathering and maintaining love and work is a continuous challenge, hence the juggling.
8: Because the figure is so engaged keeping up with all of life's worries, he doesn't notice that the end is in sight before you know it.
9: Because I think that people often take themselves and life too seriously I gave the figure the nose and mouth of a clown.
All the best,
Metin
