Thanks,

Here is a quick sketch I did the other day at home on my moleskine (always with me). There is something dark and sad about this character, but I like it.

    Some Recent Sketch-Cards

Hello Sugar-Frosted Good-people! Mark here - I haven't posted in a long long while. In fact, I think it's been almost a full year! Here's what I've been up to lately: 1) I attended FanExpo in Toronto as an exhibiting artist this past August - my good friend Lance Sawyer and I premiered our first comic, Dreadful. I'm happy to say it sold out completely. 2) I've been doing a heckuvalot of sketch cards for a number of companies including 5Finity, SadLittles, Breygent and, most recently, Topps and Lucasfilms! I just finished up 100 cards for the Clone Wars: Rise of the Bounty Hunters series, as well as 24 cards for 5Finity's Hack/Slash series. Here are some of my most recent cards!

If anyone out there is interested in commissioning me, I've got eight (8) Zombies Vs. Cheerleaders returns left; ten (10) Damsels & Dinosaurs; nine (9) Rantz Angels and four (4) Mixtape. The Mixtape cards are already finished. My rates are as follows: All individual cards are $25.00 each; the last card in each set will go for $40.00. My Mixtape returns range from $30.00 to $80.00. I will only be getting three (3) retuns back for Hack/Slash - one of which is already spoken for - they will be $66.00 each. I will only be getting six (6) returns back from Clone Wars: Rise of the Bounty Hunters, and they will be going for a minimum of $100.00 each. For more information on how to contact me, and to see more of my stuff, I invite you to check out my blog and deviantart websites! Thanks for looking!

I don't spend too much time on trains, but when I do I like to draw small silly drawings. Here's a couple of them.
I'm not sure where the ideas comes from, but while I'm drawing them they just seems to be the most obvious thing to draw

    Trunk Show

I wanted to draw something difficult. Yun and I were staying at a house on a lake in the Berkshires. We were in the middle of the woods. It was a little rainy and I was searching for something to draw. I was attracted to the trees. If you really sit and stare at bark, it is so intricate. It can be very challenging to draw, especially the way that I do. The trees were not laid out like that. I would choose one tree and draw it. Then I'd walk and find another and then draw that one. I was composing as I went along. There was moss covering all the rocks. It was a nice little touch to tie the drawing together. I'm so used to drawing cities. I feel nervous in the woods. Deep down I know the Texas chainsaw massacre guy is lurking about out there somewhere. He is sitting quietly in the dark watching me knowing I can't see him.

    Power Cat And Iron Paw

I didn't think I wold do another one of these, but dang, they are fun. So I tackled one of my favorite heroes, Iron Fist. And of course, I had to throw in Luke Cage for good measures. Hope you dig.

So there's this insanely wild Twitter meme going on now where a lot of Artist's, including some of my favorites, are turning Marvel comics characters into... Cats! Even Dogs!
So, yeah. I had to join in the fun. Although, I'm not sold on the name.

    Atom Eve!

I've been reading Invincible, albeit at a slooow pace, but it's been very entertaining so far. I've gotten the chance to draw Invincible before, but never Atom Eve. This is by far, my favortie sketch card commission. I need more collectors to commission me to draw more Atom Eve cards.

Come on folks. Where are my Atom Eve peeps?!

    lol.

    E.T. and Catman

For this sketch card commission, I was given the freedom to draw my favorite child hood movie character. This one was tough because there's quite a few. Regardless, in the end, I settled on the most magical one of them all, E.T. I remember the sense of awe and enjoyment I had as a child watching this movie for the first time. All I know is that after the movie, I wanted my own Extra Terrestrial from another plant running loose in my house :)

And of course, I had to draw another first, Catman, which was cool too.

    Casual Tweet

I love the iPad. No doubt about it. And since I've had it, I've found so many Apps that, to be honest, I did not think were available for the device. For example, I've found Vector apps like Illustrator (although, not as powerful given the device). And just last night, I stumbled upon another cool App called iFont Maker. As the title suggests, it's an app to create Fonts! Yup. Not as advanced as, say, Fontlab's powerhouse Typetool or Fontographer, but still, it's neat to be able to make fonts from your hand writing.

So what do I do with an app like this? What else. I created a fun font called Casual Tweet. It's my homage to Twitter.

You can preview and download the font here for both Mac OSX and Windows computers!

And if you're into it and have an iPad, you can get the iFontmaker app for the iPad here
