Are you koo-koo for Cocoa Puffs?

I'm Koo-Koo for Cocoa Puffs

Finally I can let the cat out of the bag: I directed the most recent installment of Sonny the Cuckoo Bird and his ongoing quest to refrain from his beloved Cocoa Puffs (I work as an animation director at Primal Screen). Titled, "Elevator," it features Sonny trying to keep from going koo-koo by riding in an elevator all day. I know, brilliant, right? Well, little does he know that anthropomorphic words are lurking by on each floor: Munchy, Crunchy and More Chocolately. As they crowd him in the confined space of the elevator, he completely looses it and finally grabs a bowl of the good stuff by the end. Whew!

Hopefully the tech guy at Primal will have a nice quality Quicktime of it available to download online soon. I'll let you know first thing.

So look for Sonny's latest freak-out on all your favorite cereal-promoting networks like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney, etc.

I've already told you this, but this is very cool Ward! I'm gonna keep looking for that commercial.

And hopefully you'll be able to post the download soon too.

Totally fun, Mr. Real Ward. I've been banned from eating the stuff myself, first by my mom and now my girlfriend. Someday though, I hope to nab me a bowl.

(Of Cocoa Puffs.)

I've always wanted to work on a cereal commercial.
I'll keep my eyes open for this one.

Haha very cool, it's still awesome to see 2D animation exisiting here in the U.S. and those commercials
are executed superbly, thanx for posting!

Thanks, guys! Yesh, it was quite a job to work on. I was a little intimidated by walking in the footsteps of Renegade Animation, who did the previous 3 Cocoa Puff spots last year. They did some incredible work and I wanted to pay homage to what they did, as well as add something new to the mix. Hope I succeeded.

And I hope you all get to see it soon!
