---here comes a Spiderman!!! This Spiderman art was done for Marvel and Sony and had to use the movie version of the costume. This illustration was done for the sole purpose of a book test. Sony wanted to see the illustration approach for thier latest movie adapation. Thumbing through some awesome JR.Jr - I found a pose that looked fun and went from there. Thank the stars above for Photoshop! Doing that little webbing in his costume would be murder without all the nifty tricks you can do with the magic wand tool! What was Steve Ditko thinking? Sadly, Spiderman in any other costume isn't Spiderman to me - so I guess artists are stuck with the webs! The one good thing about them is that they really add form to the figure. You don't even need to render in muscles because the webs sort of do that for you! Ditko was a genius, it would seem
