Kraken Adventures

A sea voyage gone bad... Three lucky men manage to escape from the giant monster crazy breakfast! It will be a long journey back home....

In this illustration I was looking for a dinamic composition using few elements. I also wanted to experiment with some textures (here I used one of Von Glitschka's textures called "bad copier"). I'm looking forward to incorporate more textures in my next illustrations.

OH MAN!!!! SNAP!!! I dig the hell out of this image. I am very much in love with your kraken and the use the boat (is that from a photo??) is comedically and stylistically savvy. I think the only crit i would impart is in the kraken's Mouth. the way that you have the gums laid out sorta makes it seem like the teeth are floating.. I would have just look at it from a silhouette throughout.
Other then that SMASHING TESTURE.. great subdued colors.

Weird. Carlos I can't see this image. Can you re-upload it?

This is great! I like the contrast of the simple with the complex and the washed out colors. I'm a sucker for good silhouettes.

Thank you guys for the comments and critics!

Jeff, I faced some problems while trying to upload this image... I had re-upload again and again and after that I deleted the post duplicates... Maybe that's why you can't see it, I guess... Anyway I'm sending you by e-mail ;)
