Illustrator not Anonymous

Hi, my name's Meagan B. Call. I'm a writer and wannabe illustrator.
I'm currently working on my mfa in creative writing and am not entirely sure how to go about getting actual illustration work (or writing work for that matter, I'm pretty useless when it comes to employment). Any suggestions and especially technical critiques would be appreciated. Even if they're mean, but I warn you I'll make faces at you through my monitor if you're mean. I post a sketch every day on my blog: hadesarrow.blogspot.com among with vague ramblings about things that I think are design related but are usually just random.
