How To Train With a T. Rex and Win 8 Gold Medals Giveaway!

Well, hello there, SFG'ers! Been a long time, hasn't it? Jeff, thanks for keeping this up and running. What a great inspiration for all artists.

How To Train With a T. Rex and Win 8 Gold Medals

Well, thought I'd stop by SFG to let you all know that I've illustrated my very first children's book, How To Train With a T. Rex And Win 8 Gold Medals, written by Michael Phelps with Alan Abrahamson. Yes, THAT Michael Phelps. Hey, check out some of the insides of the book HERE.

FYI: No, I didn't meet him. Yes, I've heard all the jokes. No, this is not an attempt to make parents forget about the photo -- the book was done a month before the photo was released. Just had to get all that out!

Okay! There ya go!

SFG: Joy

DANCE LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW or
The joyful unawareness of extinction

My dinosaur extinction theory:

Personally, I blame the tyrannosaurus rex. So fond of raves were these behemoths. So oblivious of their surroundings were they. While gyrating and stomping about to their trancey, music, these scaly revelers never even noticed the giant earthquakes that resulted from their dance party. The seismic activity that followed tripped a volcano or two and set off a chain reaction of further volcanic eruptions. The climate change brought about by the post-rave eruptions, is, what I believe caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Look it up.

The Illustration Friday theme this week is "Theory" and the Sugar Frosted Goodness challenge is "Joy." So I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.
