15 minute sketch challenge... Christmas Eve...

I had an inkling that Santa might take a break or two at a few houses to imbibe in some of his favorite snacks...

Merry Christmas...

Here's a drawing from a 15 minute sketch challenge two weeks ago! Summer in the Pacific Northwest this year has been coming in fits and starts but not staying. We have more clouds than sun. This is my attempt to visual who is causing this problem... at least from a metaphoric pov...
Hope you dig it!

Introducing the letter "Xei"

This is the latest in the Super Alphabet series of mine. The letter X and I've got two more letters to go. Right now they are all available as T-Shirts on Red Bubble but soon to be a poster and after that an ABC counting book for kids.
Look for the T-shirt here:

I finished this just before getting the "FLU" a week ago... getting better but still under the weather. It must have been fever inspired.

Vlad the kid!

Brand new painting... minted last night!
I know it's not Halloween but I just felt like painting this little guy.

New painting for November

You are sleepy... I didn't need a hypnotist to put me to sleep after that Thanksgiving meal!
Another new painting and I'm working on a new one this weekend. I hope to post soon.

New summer painting...

I usually don't paint much in the summer... I'd rather be outside bicycling or kayaking or wading in the pool or visiting beautiful landscaping, but I am still drawing a lot. I've finished off the 6th volume of art for my graphic novel and started the 7th, which I hope will be the last volume of art for it. We'll see how it goes.
I'll post some of those drawings soon.
Enjoy what's left of summer... go outside and play!!!

Summer Bubble!

New painting...more coming soon.

Hi guys,
These are the first four pages of art from Volume 6 of art for my graphic novel. Each Volume opens with a nightmare sequence and then goes back into the story. The nightmares symbolize what is happening internally to one of the main characters. They change as the story changes. That's about all I can give away of the story at this point. I hope to have it finished by the end of this year. I've been working on it now for two years..

Be well,
Mike

Rumplefest!

My latest acrylic pop surreal painting that I finished on Saturday morning! I'll have more coming soon.

You Don't Know Me!

Another NEW painting for 2010. I'm doing a series of these type of paintings for this next month or so,... all the while working on a couple of deadlines and finishing up on some design work and drawing art for my graphic novel... no rest for the weary.

Hope all is well.

First Acrylic painting for 2010!

I've finally started my winter painting for 2010! Off to a slow start because I'm busy with other deadlines but here it is. "Into the Atom Age"... which was from a sketch I had and was going to make a graphic novel about it but there was another idea that was way more pressing. I'm coming to the last stretch of doing the art for that and thinking about a few other stories I'm working on.
As always, this painting is available as a print on www.imagekind.com along with a bunch of other art that I do. Check it out!
