SFG: Transportation

Wow! Where was my head? Thursday came and went and with the holiday hulabaloo, I completely forgot to post the next SFG Challenge! Whoops!

Without further delay...

This week's theme: Transportation


The SFG Challenge runs Thursday to Thursday, and was created to offer every member an opportunity to stretch their creative muscles, venture outside of their artistic boundaries and post their interpretations each week on a specific theme. This is a completely voluntary challenge!

Be sure to label your illustrations with the appropriate labels as well. Label your entries with your name and the challenge label, in this case SFG: Transportation.

By the way SFG'ers, we've had a number of new members join recently, with quite a few more on their way in. Please make them feel welcome!


The next challenge begins Thursday, November 29th, 2007.

Hi there! Enrique Mochales, a writer friend of mine- lend me a story in order to illustrate it: The writer that laid a novel.

Enrique says that a writer is like a chicken that lays novels. One night the writer in the story worked a lot in order to write a very good novel but after he did it, he felt asleep over the table. After that, he dreamed that a giant hand lifted the ceiling and took the novel off. In the morning the novel was gone.

I worked slowly during three weeks in this illo, and I think it is my very first illo, for real. I'm thinking about made some more for create a portfolio and searching for a rep. What do you think? I need your sincere opinion :)

With all the crap going on in the world, I hate picking up my newspaper and having to see this nut all the time. Can't he just go away. My George Bush fatigue is at it's wits end. 24 Project exhibition opening in Dublin

On Thursday 15th Nov. 07, I had the pleasure to attend 24 Project opening at the GB Shaw off Camden St, in Dublin. The main piece was a 24 feet long panel 4 feet high that runs the entire length of the wall facing the main bar.
24 Dublin artists have collaborated on this one piece and nobody had a clue what the final work would be like. Each artist got a 2′x2′ piece to work with and some rough guidelines. On the opening night the 24 pieces were put back together and only then for the first was it revealed what they had all been working on.
