My blog

Robots, Robots, Robots!

It's been quite a while since my last post to this hallowed hall of illustration luminaries, so I thought I'd share a few bits and pieces of mine from the new Know magazine that hits the stands this week. Above and ( in detail ) below you'll see the cover for this issue's Robot theme. This came together fairly quickly so I don't think it turned out too bad. Combination of gouache ( the blue background ) and Photoshop colouring.

Next up are a couple of details ( sorry, you'll have to pick up a copy to see the whole thing! ) from the regular puzzles and fun feature that I write and illustrate, "Know Fun". I went with a orange / yellow colour scheme on this one. The clients weren't incredibly happy but I think it worked.
That's all for Know ( I mean now! )

Imagine dis!

Tryin' to put together a story for this little wanker.

Renaissance Robot!

Sci Fi art is some of my favorite, especially retro. Funny I don't care to read Sci Fi anymore but the images can be very cool. I'll be posting some more Sci Fi art later today...

SFG: ROBOTS!

This week's theme: ROBOTS!

Post your illustrations based on the theme here on SFG within the week.

The next challenge will begin Thursday, December 28th, 2006.

Again, if you're an SFG member, and would like to illustrate a holiday themed banner like the one seen above, shoot me a quick e-mail and I'll forward you a banner template.

Also, I'm still looking for illustrators to contribute SFG Tee Shirt designs for tees sold on this site. Half of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Contact me if you're interested, or if you want more information.

Enjoy this challenge SFG'ers, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Be safe this holiday season, and stay sugar frosted!!
