Apologies, Mr Steadman...


An illo for a caustic piece on Hunter S. The (dreadlocked) writer slates the legend surrounding the man, stating that his best work was Fear and Loathing, while the rest is pretty much forgettable. They wanted the trademark Steadman coming through. Did I nail it?

yah... you did.. it's amazing! too bad they didn't hire steadman instead of asking you to copy his style...

Pretty close. Steadman is very elegant beneath all those splatters and crazy lines... people seem to miss that.

I'd say this looks more like Derek Bauer's work.
