This is a commissioned illustration I did for a new social networking company called Barkles. It's a place to share your opinions and get rewarded. The site is launching soon and this illustration is for their 503 error page. It's the page that tells the user that the web site's server is simply not available at the moment. This is usually due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. So their idea was to have their mascot tearing the page to expose the server.
A new black and white line drawing for 2010. To be made into prints during the coming months. I think you can click on it to make it bigger. Portfolio Tumblr
Done for my portfolio which I am currently reworking to show my new direction in style. This was sketched traditionally, scanned and worked up in Illustrator CS3 with subtle textures added in Photoshop CS3.
Although I didn't start out to make a series, I ended up with a lot of images of book reading people and animals. This collection is going to be in a small works exhibit in Seattle in December. Take a peek at the slideshow...
Howdy folks. It's been a long time. Too long! Here are my five of the 20 limited edition album covers done exclusively for the release party of Pip Skid's Pip Donahue Show (which you can download, legally, FOR FREE! Go here. It's some really nutty/"out there"/lo-fi rap stuff. Loads of fun!)
Click on any one of them to view larger! I also helped out with the EP's actual cover.
Because the longer I go without eating meat, the less sense it makes to me which animals do get eaten. So here's a painting of a very hungry rabbit. Acrylic on watercolor paper. -Claire
