Long ago, I started playing around with oils watching Bob and his "happy" little trees. Using his technique, I was able to create a large canvas of mud. In frustration, I went to the library and read everything I could find on oil painting (before the Internet) and was able to produce paintings that were more satisfying. I won't bore you with the first two but I will show you my third.

Very cool Gail! Wish I could get closer to it though, it's hard to see the detail well enough.

wow that turned out very nice! and only with self-teaching? i'm impressed =) haven't tried oil yet, but i want to some day too
