A whole bunch of buildings are being planned for Sandton in the next few years, and I was asked to do an illo for a story about just that. There was some talk of '3D renderings' and 'aerial views' and 'artist's impressions' etc etc, but luckily I convinced Gila to go for a 2D approach. I had some fun with Illustrator, basing the buildings on the existing few and a few architect's thumbnails - thinking all the time of guys like Bob Staake and Rob Dunlavey.

Nice use of illustrator. The tilts make it fun. And the colors are like candy.
