Batman Commission

Hey all,

I was recently commissioned by a friend to paint an image of Batman for his new boss who is Batman crazy. I took it as an opportunity to practice some of my extremely rusty gouache skills. I don't think he expected me to go so overboard with it..:)



Here's the final for the commission piece. I spent way to long on this. I learned much from it that I hope to apply to more interesting subjects later...:)



This was the section I enjoyed the most. I was able to play with textures in some unexpected ways...



Fun project to practice with. I have a bit more confidence with the medium now. I'm excited to start on the next one! If you'd like to see more process, have a look on my sketchblog:
