Illustrator Rules!

You all knows what a fan of texture I am but I have a flat side to me. I get excited every time I see really cool vector art. And I love Adobe Illustrator. Here is a character from a concept I am working on. You may be seeing more of him and his friends in the future.

JIM,
Your work translates so well with AI. Very nice to see. Have you played with a wacom in Ai? You can get some cool texture with that as well.

Always impressing,
Drew

Yeah Drew, I have a Wacom and it is great for drawing in AI. I love the brush tool with all it's thicks and thins and the pencil tool for single line weights. And who can resist messing with bezier curves?

Thanks guys.

Nice, I like it. Great to see another side of you, clean is good. I'm going in the opposite direction right now, I feel like my work has been way too clean and vectory lately and feel the need to explore using a lot of texture and break out the pen and pencil more. Your work is a great example of the rougher stuff I admire and aspire to get back to in my new phase of personal work.

It's great to see your style evolving so quickly. You're exploring some great things here and it shows that you translate very well no matter what medium you choose. I can't wait to see more!
