Made In America : A Native Exhibition

Over the past couple of months I have had the pleasure of working with my friends Yis andLeah to put together easily the largest group show that I have ever been a part of. "Made In America: A Native Exhibition" features over forty artists/friends all contributing work loosely based on this interesting country of ours. We chose this theme because we wanted something culturally relevant, yet broad enough for folks to have varied reactions and through their respective media. The opening reception will take place on June 4th at the TRUST Gallery (formerly the F.U.E.L. Collection, and the Real World Philadelphia house before that) and will go from 6 -10 pm. There will be live performances by: Dragonzord, Tigersapien, and Univox!

The Hype Cycle (highsnobiety.com x brad haubrich)

Over the summer I started working on an editorial project for the mens clothing / street wear blog
highsnobiety.com that was just published on their website today. The project consisted of one large illustration and eight spots, ultimately put together in the layout above and included in the article. They both illustrate the cycle of how vintage style sneakers go from worshiped to buried to re-discovered and then of course re-hyped on blogs. I would like to thank both Chris and Nick Schonberger of highsnobiety.com for giving me the chance to work on this awesome collaboration.

check out the awesome article that also has pictures of my work desk here

Thanks!

Last Minute Holiday Show at Mew Gallery (Philadelphia)

This Friday my friend Yis and I put together a last minute holiday show at the Mew Gallery in South Philadelphia (on Christian street, right next to Sabrina's). I got my friend Dan to draw and screen print the rad poster you see above, and my friends Chicken Ate the Dog and The Divine Lorraine are going to play some tunes.

Oh yeah, and there is nothing over 100 bucks! Perfect for any last minute gifts that aren't going to break the bank.

other friends that are also participating:

Tim Gough
Professor Pizzoli
Dan Hughes
Stephanie Struse
Yis Goodwin
Alaina Cunningham
Vicky Sadicario
Emily Wallace
Steve Streisguth
Kevin Wallace
ummmm, I think Larry might have some stuff?

and maybe a few more.

It's gonna be a nice friendly get together with great art available for purchase and great music and stuff, I am cordially inviting all SFG members that live in the area to swing by and have fun.

thanks,
brad

Backwords Packaging and Poster

Hello all, I recently completed designing/illustrating some packaging and a poster for my good friends Backwords of Brooklyn, NY and Philadelphia, PA respectively. The overall job consisted of a disc sleeve, 11" x 17" show poster, and a three color disc to boot. The work itself is loosely based on the Lakota Indian tribe's medicine wheel in which each stone/section represents a different part of life or the human spirit. This was definitely a fun one.

I also have a bunch of new work up at my site to check out

Thanks

desktop battle

I just won the "desktop battle" over at my favorite design blog KITSUNE NOIR, the premise of the contest was to design a desktop wall paper under the theme of "ghosts". My entry "Ghost Ride" depicts a ghost riding through the night with all of his ghostly possesions, even his cat Betsy.

Check it out, it is available for download in multiple sizes
